Write for us

Stellar Design Journal welcomes pitches that help general readers see visual design with more precision. Send proposals through the Contact page, with a clear subject, a focused angle and a note on what readers will understand by the end.

What we welcome

We are interested in explained design choices, visual comparisons, approachable histories and accounts of creative methods. Strong proposals stay close to a specific question about identity, type, composition or design practice, and show why that question is worth a reader's attention.

A useful pitch

Tell us the working idea, its central point and the kind of examples it would use. Explain what is distinctive about your approach, and flag any images, permissions or specialist context the piece may need. A pitch should make its scope clear without trying to cover the whole field at once.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option. A proposal is a suggestion, not a promise of publication. Please do not include confidential material or send work you do not have permission to share; we may ask for a revised angle or further context before considering a piece.
